Water Security Agency
The Water Security Agency is a unique organization in Canada – bringing together the majority of government’s core water management responsibilities in one place. We manage the province’s water supply, protect water quality, ensure safe drinking water and treatment of wastewater, own and manage 72 dams and related water supply channels, reduce flood and drought damage, protect aquatic habitat and provide information about water. The Water Security Agency also represents Saskatchewan on transboundary water issues.

The Ministry of Agriculture has a team dedicated to the success of irrigation in the province. They are available to support irrigators by sharing technical expertise and helping to navigate the irrigation development process.

The ministry supplies services to the public and other ministries that support efforts to build the economy and make a better life for all Saskatchewan people. Services include central property management services including government buildings, accommodations, transportation and information technology. The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement was established in November 2020 and merged responsibilities of the former Ministry of Central Services and SaskBuilds.
